SEARCH THRU TIME [MV + SINGLE REVIEW]

I think The FITZTWINZ (@official.fitztwinz) have set the standard for music video excitement: standing on the wing on an abandoned airplane in a full Dior outfit. Add that to the vibrant animation and time-warped concept and you have a future classic music video with panache. The Twinz are back for their sophomore single Search Thru Time and the music video has to be one of the wildest accompanying visuals to come out of South West Sydney.

Going from Depression era USA to Tokyo in the far-flung future, this video has it all. The Back to the Future concept allows the Twinz to cross timelines with their signature style and swagger, looking for the good vibes no matter the era. The video was directed by Rowell Jauco (@roweezy) and Kreezy Visions (@kreezyvisions), who took the novel concept to the max. Everything about the video screams high production value, and the level of thought and planning that went into the scenes is evident.

The track itself is classic FITZTWINZ: summery, fun and fiercely danceable. In a similar vein to their debut track, Search Thru Time is a strong melodic pop/hip-hop track with the beach clubs very much in mind. The TWINZ themselves stated their desire to “depict the extent of our search for this happiness”, and this notion is visible in the track as well as the visuals. With nothing but partying hard on the agenda, this track is bound to be a dancefloor killer over the warmer months.

Never feared anything but being poor

Where to now? The Twinz have racked up impressive streaming and video numbers for their first two singles, and the final frame of the Search Thru Time video seems to tease another release. A project or a single? We will have to wait and see.

In the meantime, stream Search Thru Time here.
